I knew that George Takei who played Sulu in the original Star Trek series, did the voice for Master Sensei, but I never realized that John Cho who plays Sulu in the J.J. Abrams Star Trek movies also did some vocal work for the show. He played Hirotaka amd they were both in the episode "Exchange."

So, I’m still around. Things have been, shall we say, frustrating over at the Gecko’s Rock. The move went well (for those that don’t know, I’m now living in Florida, and have been for a few months now), and things seemed to be settling down. But then I had to go and do something stupid (like falling asleep at work according to the report, which I disputed but lost), and lost my job.Since then, we’ve been working on getting things back on track. My fiance has her job finally in place (things were touch-and-go for a month or two, but that’s finally settled ^_^ ), and my new job is…not satisfying, but at least it pays the bills…for now. We also got a major car problem taken care of thanks to the VERY GENEROUS people at a car shop we now highly recommend. (If you’re in the Kissimmee, FL area, definitely go talk to DISCOUNT TIRES over by the Best Buy). And now things are finally feeling more normal , to the point we may even be able to regain home internet access–right now, we rely on coffee shops and computer labs, which is difficult at the best of times with our work schedules. We’re both of the belief that if we can make it through February with no more mishaps or surprises, we’ll most likely be okay.
As far as art and story submissions go, that’s another story. My computer’s age finally made itself known, and I can’t even get Windows to start. We have a few recovery disks we’re gonna try, but neither me nor my fiance have high hopes for it. The good news is that she believes she could make the fix if we can only figure out what the problem is, so it may all work out in the end.
Now, for some bits of interesting news. For several…we’ll call it months, I guess (though you could make the argument for “years” being more accurate), I’ve been working on the ideas for both a web comic or two and a few original story ideas. As of this point, nothing has yet come of it, but that could easily change in the coming months. Just have to see what happens.
